Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy explains what data iCoderAgent (the macOS app and this website) collects and how it's used. iCoderAgent is built BYOK (bring your own key) and local-first by design, so what we actually collect is intentionally minimal compared to a typical hosted AI product.

2. What we collect

• Billing information — when you subscribe, our payment processor Paddle.com collects your payment details, email, and billing address as merchant of record. We don't see or store your card details ourselves — Paddle handles that directly.
• License and account data — to activate a paid plan and respond to support requests, we store your email and an issued license key linked to your subscription status.
• Support communications — if you email us, we keep that correspondence to help resolve your request.

3. What we deliberately don't collect

Your project files, source code, and AI provider API keys stay on your own machine. When you use the app, requests to your chosen AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, etc.) go directly from your device using your own credentials — we don't proxy, log, or store the content of those requests. The marketing site (icoderagent.com) does not run any third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

4. How we use what we collect

We use billing/license data to operate your subscription, verify entitlement, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, and comply with legal/tax obligations.

5. Who we share it with

• Paddle.com — payment processing, billing, and tax compliance (merchant of record for your purchase).
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts this website and the license-verification service.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone else except as required by law or to protect our legal rights. Each third party above processes data under its own privacy policy.

6. Data retention

We keep license and billing records for as long as your account is active, and afterward only as needed for legal/accounting purposes (e.g. tax records). Support emails are retained for as long as reasonably useful to resolve related issues.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data we do hold, but no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise any of these — we'll respond within a reasonable time.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above.
