Data Use

Last updated: July 2026

This page explains, specifically, what happens to your code and prompts when you use iCoderAgent — separate from our general Privacy Policy, which covers account/ billing data.

No backend AI proxy

Unlike hosted AI coding tools, iCoderAgent doesn't route your requests through our servers. When the agent calls an AI model, that request goes directly from your Mac to the provider you've configured (Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, etc.) using your own API key. We never see, log, or store the content of those requests — your code and prompts simply don't pass through any server we operate.

We don't train any models

We don't operate our own AI models, so there's no "opt out of training" toggle to offer — there's nothing on our side that could train on your code in the first place. Whether the AI provider you've connected uses your prompts for their own model training is governed by that provider's data-use policy, not ours — check the provider's own settings/terms for that.

What stays on your machine

Your project files, conversation history, and configured API keys are stored locally on your Mac. We don't sync, back up, or have access to any of it unless you explicitly export/share it yourself.

What we do store, server-side

Only account-level data needed to run the business: your email, an issued license key, and subscription status (see Privacy Policy for the full list and retention details). None of it includes your code, prompts, or AI provider credentials.
